Giant heads protest Bush Library opening

We mentioned earlier that the opening of the Bush Library and accompanying security, pomp and circumstance will result in street closings at and in the general vicinity of SMU.

Police now have issued guidelines for protestors.

The public is allowed to gather on the east side of North Central Expressway between Mockingbird and SMU Blvd.
Pedestrians are reminded that they cannot block passageways or sidewalks nor walk in the roadways, per state law. Pedestrians cannot trespass onto private property and must leave if asked to do so.

Atama, a cool little toy boutique in Mockingbird Station next to Cafe Express, tweeted yesterday that they opened the shop to protestors from Veterans for Peace, noting how impressed they are with the protestors’ costumes.
