The Dallas Arboretum will open the highly anticipated Rory Meyer’s Children’s Adventure Garden on Saturday, September, 21 2013 in conjunction with their annual “Autumn at the Arboretum” exhibit.
Brian Shivers, Chairman of the Board at the Dallas Arboretum says that the $56 million garden will “change the way children in and around the Metroplex learn about nature and science.” Shivers says “we want teachers and parents to bring their children and give them a hands-on experience in nature.”
Over the next few months, the Arboretum will put the finishing touches on the garden. Arboretum spokeswoman Wendy Rentz says “we will ask a cross section of members and experts in the city to explore the garden prior to the opening and provide feedback to ensure every detail is at the highest standard.”
