Police investigate second sexual attack in East Dallas

Another violent sexual attack has occurred in the East Dallas area. This time it happened at an apartment home in the 5800 block of Martel Avenue, near Greenville Avenue and the M Streets neighborhood.

The rapist/robber’s modus operandi is strikingly similar to that in a case last weekend, in which an assailant knocked on an apartment door and forced the woman who answered inside at gunpoint. The suspect then raped the resident and stole her property.

The same thing happened to the unidentified woman on Martel, according to a police report . WFAA reports that police say the suspect in both cases is a Latin male with arm tattoos.

Of course it was. Thanks for having a brain. G-d b with the victims who hopefully won’t have to deal w an unwanted pregnancy and those who would force them to do what they might not want, I.e. pro 9 monthers. Once out, you’re on your own.

I think that was supposed to be a reference to the suggestion made by certain politicians that many “alleged” rapes are not “legitimate”.

  • Here’s some more detail regarding the suspect, from the DPD:
Suspect Information: Latin Male, approximately 21 years of age, 5’5”, 140 lbs, (skinny), with spiked 1” black hair and brown eyes with tattoos on the right arm. The suspect was wearing shiny black shoes, green shirt, blue jeans and large diamond earrings. Possible name of Jose.

The public is encouraged to positively identify anyone knocking on their door or ringing their doorbell before unlocking and opening doors. Call 911 if suspicious activity is observed.

Anyone with information related to this offense is asked to contact the Dallas Police Department’s Sexual Assault Unit at 214-671-3584.

  • Way to be respectful of a horrific incident. a$$hole much?

I suppose these count as “legitimate”, right?
