Expect to see a new tenant in the Bailey’s 1st & 10 space in Hillside Village in the next 90 days or so. That’s the word from Terry Syler of Retail Connection, who handles leasing for the shopping center.

Syler said yesterday that demand for the empty restaurant, which closed at the beginning of November, has been overwhelming. He said as many as 30 groups have looked at the space, which is impressive given the economy. Syler said prospective tenants recognize that it’s a good location in a great neighborhood.

Expect to see a restaurant, says Syler, but not just another version of Bailey’s.  "We want to take our time," he says. "We’re re-thinking what concept would be ideal for that trade area."
