Dallas police say an unidentified 17 year old’s reckless driving caused a person’s death on Buckner Boulevard Friday afternoon, and have referred the case to the Grand Jury to consider charges against the teen.

Around 12:30 p.m., the teen was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed heading north on Buckner near Alta Mira Drive. A witness told police that the teen lost control of the vehicle, and barreled into the southbound lane of traffic where he collided with several cars. One of those vehicles, a gray Lincoln Navigator, had two passengers. The driver of the Navigator died on the way to the hospital, while the passenger sustained severe injuries. The unidentified driver of a Ford Freestar van was also transported to the hospital with injuries.
