Located on the edge of Fair Park, Wriggly Tin is the city’s newest pizza restaurant and bar. Opening in November 2023, the spot is building an outdoor stage to host the East Dallas Concert Series over the rest of the summer.

Organized by East Dallas neighbor Dezi 5, each show is free and open to the public, with performers playing an “early show” at 8:30 and a “late show” at 10:30. The sets are 45 minutes each, followed by a dance party hosted by a different DFW DJ each night. The series launches on July 4, then transitions to each Saturday in July.

East Dallas Concert Series kicks off with a bang, literally. The legendary local Cumbia band, Cayuga All-Stars, will be the first on the new Wriggly Tin stage to play a set. When the sun sets, watch the Fair Park firework show from the restaurant, then continue to dance the night away.

Two days later, we’re due for a summer renaissance with a Beyoncé-themed drag show.

On July 13, R&B supernova Tim Starling performs with his band, The Experience.

The Reveler’s Hall Band is one of the most popular live acts in the city. They play an away game at Wriggly Tin on July 20, but are sure to bring in a home crowd. The Oak Cliff Advocate covered their origin story in the June issue.

Hip hop artist Cyfa Fix closes out the series on July 27.

This July, Wriggly Tin will sound like Cumbia, hip hop, New Orleans jazz, R&B and of course, Beyoncé. That’s a good enough selling point for me.
