The Promise of Peace Community Garden on East Grand hosts a market Saturday, July 28, from 9-11 a.m. The nonprofit will sell herbs, plants, fresh flower arrangements, seeds and garden accessories.
The garden also hosts a tea and open house Saturday, from 9-10 a.m. Garden plots are available to lease for $75 a month.
Promise of Peace works with neighborhood elementary schools to teach children about gardening, nutrition and art.
This fall, executive director Elizabeth Dry is planning a youth produce market to make available organic vegetables that students grow.
