Want to get fit? Here are some exercise options for seniors

Here are two new fitness services for older adults that we’ve heard about in the past couple of weeks.

The first is “Pep and Step”, a walking program at White Rock Lake that holistic nutritionist Sonia Platz recently started. The class meets at 7:30 a.m. three times a week, and they cost $12 each, plus a $24 start-up fee. Or you can buy a package. Check out Platz’s website for more details.

The other is Silver Star Fitness, a company that personal trainer John Reeg started specifically for older adults. Reeg works with clients in their homes. He is a former gym teacher and gymnastics coach, and his classes cost between $30-$45 each.

Thank you very much for highlighting the Vitamin D Pep ‘n Step©. A tiny clarification, the program is for all ages, not just seniors, but there is a 10% discount for seniors! Thank you Advocate Magazine! I appreciate and enjoy you!
