Lawmakers will consider a bill Tuesday that would deliver tougher penalties for uninsured or unlicensed drivers who hurt or kill people. Dallas Rep. Allen Vaught introduced the bill, dubbed Eric’s Law. It follows an accident last November, which we told you about here on Back Talk, at the Dallas Running Club half Marathon. Nelson has reportedly suffered a great deal since the crash, which occurred at the base of Flag Pole Hill at Buckner and Northwest, and says he wants reckless uninsured, unlicensed motorists to experience consequences.
