Garden Cafe is open for warmth and device charging.

The cafe will serve hot tea, coffee and pastries, owner Mark Wootton said. A free hot meal for 100 people will be available beginning at 4 p.m.

Masks and social distancing are required.

White Rock YMCA, 7112 Gaston Ave.

The White Rock YMCA will be open as a warming center today until 5:30 p.m.

In addition to getting warm, visitors will be able to charge their phones, fill up water bottles, use Wi-Fi and drink hot coffee. Charging stations are available in one-hour increments, and families may need to sign up for time slots.

Showers are also available, and families can have exclusive use of the shower area for 20-minute intervals.

Visitors can bring food to heat in microwaves where available.

People who come are asked to wear masks and stay with their family while inside. They can stay up to three hours unless no one is waiting to enter and the facility is not at capacity.

Owenwood Farm & Neighborhood Space, 1451 John West Road. 

The warming center will be open until 2 p.m. to provide a warm place for residents without power.

Opportunities to charge phones and devices will be provided.
