East Dallas’ pop-up drive-in will show a month of Christmas classics as it kicks off its holiday program.
The Drive-In at The Central will feature favorites like “Elf,” “A Christmas Story,” “Home Alone” and more starting Dec. 3 in the grassy field off U.S. 75 at 2999 N. Carroll Ave. The lineup will run through Dec. 30.
“Our traditional holiday events and travel to see family and friends will be different this year,” Rooftop Cinema Club founder Gerry Cottle said in a statement. “The drive-in has a unique way to fill that void this season, and we’re doing everything we can to bring some holiday cheer to our guests with a safe outing they can share with loved ones.”
The venue will be decked in Insta-worthy holiday decor, and staff in holiday sweaters will greet guests as they arrive. Santa will also make nightly appearances to collect Christmas wish lists.
Guests are encouraged to decorate their cars with Christmas lights or tinsel and participate in the drive-in’s “Deck the Cars” contest. Prizes will be given to the winners on select nights.
Grab a cup of hot cocoa or some gingerbread cookies from the concession stand, and settle in for these great movies.
