Sliders restaurant Son of a Butcher is planning to open its second location in the Swiss chalet on Greenville Avenue this December.

The restaurant was supposed to debut in the former Melios Bros Char Bar space this summer, but the coronavirus has derailed even the best-laid plans this year.

An exact date hasn’t been released, but the restaurant is hiring for its new location at 2026 Greenville Ave. The first location opened in the Legacy Food Hall in Plano.

The eatery has applied for a specific use permit to stay open after midnight. The request includes the uncovered patio along Greenville Avenue, according to documents filed with the City of Dallas.

Son of a Butcher did not immediately return a request for more information.
