Thousands are expected to honor the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg as she lies in state at the Supreme Court and the U.S. Capitol this week.

Yet her influence stretched far beyond the Capitol, and she had plenty of admirers, including a Woodrow Wilson student.

Alexandra Brooks, class of 2019, painted her senior parking space to honor Ginsburg.

The portrait of Ginsburg is accompanied by the quote: “Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you.”

Ginsburg died Friday from complications of metastatic pancreas cancer.

Brooks is a student at Wellesley College in Massachusetts.

People throughout the neighborhood are finding other ways to honor Ginsburg. This banner can be seen outside a home on Tokalon and Winstead drives.
