A Japanese barbecue restaurant founded in Tokyo more than 60 years ago is opening its first location in Texas on Greenville Avenue this fall, CultureMap reported.
Meaning “to be happy with a full stomach,” Manpuku is a yakiniku restaurant in which customers order raw meat and vegetables that they cook at their table over gas or charcoal grills.
For a flat rate of $45-$65 per person, patrons can choose from a selection of meat, such as sirloin, short rib, tongue or the signature U.S. Kuroge Wagyu, a black hide Japanese beef.
Packages are also served with sides, such as spicy beef soup or fried rice, as well as salads and ice cream.
Manpuku has seven locations in Japan, and four restaurants in California.
The Dallas location will have 18 cooktops for grilling, a bar and a patio, according to CultureMap.
