The decor store Texas Goods Co. is opening its first standalone location Aug. 29 in the Hillside Village Shopping Center.

Co-founders John and Amy Lynch will open the doors at noon, and the first 100 customers will receive a complimentary handmade face mask from Parker & Hyde.

Texas Goods Co. opened at the Dallas Farmers Market in 2016. After hosting a holiday pop-up at Hillside Village last year, the co-owners knew they wanted to become a permanent part of the Lakewood community.

“We hope that our storefront will give local residents and visitors the opportunity to support some very unique businesses that are native to Texas,” Amy said in a statement.

Signage for the store appeared at Hillside in May, but an exact opening date was not released at that time.

“It is very exciting for us to welcome another retailer in the center, especially at a time like this,” said Mallory Baureis, assistant general manager for Hillside Village. “As a resident of the Lakewood community, I know that the brand will be a great fit.”
Texas Goods Co. will be the second of three new tenants joining Hillside Village. Haystack opened in mid-May, and Palmer’s Chicken will open later this summer.

The store features home decor, accessories, gifts and discounted market samples that are added weekly.  All inventory is selected with a careful eye toward locally sourced products from Dallas-based merchants and vendors.
