Bartenders who are out of work while bars are temporarily closed because of the coronavirus can find temporary gigs at Bowlski’s in the Lakewood Theater.

The guest bartenders this weekend are John Wittlinger, part owner of Prophet Bar in Deep Ellum, and Eli Alaniz. The pair bartends at Atwater Alley in Knox-Henderson.

From 8 p.m. until closing this Friday and Saturday, customers can try one of their custom cocktails in Bowlski’s unique projector room bar.

“Win-win for everyone,” Bowlski’s owner Craig Spivey said. “They get to work, Bowlski’s gets to host them and the Lakewood community can try some first-class cocktails. Last night they did great in tips and were super happy to be working again.”

Bartenders who are interested in being scheduled can contact Spivey at dude@bowlskis.com.

Bowlski’s is open at limited capacity with social distancing protocols.
