24 Hour Fitness is closing its location on Mockingbird at Greenville along with 130 locations nationwide.

The California-based company, which has 445 locations in the United States, filed for bankruptcy protection Monday.

24 Hour Fitness closed 26 stores in Texas, including another one in Dallas, on Campbell Road.

Many of the company’s other locations are closed temporarily as a precaution against spread of the coronavirus, and it isn’t charging customers during the pandemic. With revenues near zero, the company secured $250 million through debtor-in-possession financing to reopen stores, but the future remains uncertain for the fitness industry.
