U.S. Rep. Colin Allred, an M Streets neighbor, had a virtual town hall meeting Monday and said he doesn’t want officials to move too quickly as we recover from the coronavirus. “I do have some concerns about reopening all of our businesses without specific benchmarks and a plan to get us through this,” he said. He wants politicians to listen to medical experts. “We need a plan, not a date” to reopen our communities, he said. Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins and Julie Trivedi, an infectious-disease specialist at UT Southwestern Medical Center, joined him at the meeting.
