The beef and cheese sandwich at Top Round.

Top Round is hoping to make a comeback in Texas when it opens Saturday in East Dallas.

The roast beef restaurant at 4800 Bryant St. is reopening after its first location at the Toyota Music Factory in Irving closed March 1. Later that month, the California concept announced it would open again in East Dallas.

When it opens, it will still be the only location in Texas.

Top Round specializes in roast beef sandwiches topped with fried pickles or cheese whiz, but the eatery offers vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, such as the buffalo cauliflower burger. There are also dessert items like banana cream pie and custard.

The Dallas location boasts the chain’s first full bar with wine and cocktails like the frozen whiskey Coke made with Matthew McConaughey’s Wild Turkey Longbranch.
