Three people are accused of stealing a cash machine early Friday from a convenience store in Old East Dallas, police said.

Yes, that’s right. A cash machine. Not cash from the machine. Details on how the robbers pulled off the heist have not been released.

What we do know is that the theft was reported at 4 a.m. in the 5300 block of Ross Avenue near Greenville Avenue, according to the Dallas Morning News.

The individuals removed the ATM and fled in a white van. Officers followed them to an apartment complex in the 3000 block of Park Row Avenue in South Dallas, Fox affiliate KDFW reported.

The driver was arrested, and the other two were found after a short chase on foot. A K-9 officer found one of the thieves hiding in garbage, the Morning News reported.

Authorities had not identified the robbers at the time of the report.
