Police: Shooting in Old East Dallas leaves 1 man injured

Police responded Sunday morning after a man was shot in the chest in Old East Dallas, the Dallas Morning News reported.

The shooting happened shortly before 9:30 a.m. at 3320 Samuell Blvd. Police said the two victims then fled to the 9700 block of Whitehurst Drive in Lake Highlands, where they called 911.

One man had a gunshot wound to his chest and was taken to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, where he remained Monday in an unknown condition, according to the Morning News.

Information about what led to the shooting or who was responsible was not released, the newspaper reported.
