Far East Dallas teacher knocked to ground, mugged at elementary school

Police arrested a 30-year-old man who is accused of slamming a Far East Dallas elementary school teacher to the ground and stealing her purse.

Vincent Henderson was charged with robbery in the altercation, which happened Feb. 7 at Charles Gill Elementary School near Casa View, according to a recently released affidavit.

Fox 4 reported that the attack on the math teacher happened in front of students in the school’s lobby. Her left wrist, arm and hip were hurt in the incident.

The principal and another teacher saw what happened and held the man until police arrived.

Henderson was booked into the Dallas County jail, where he remained Thursday afternoon on $2,500 bond.
