There’s not a lot you can purchase today for $5 — except, perhaps, a Starbucks drink or a hidden treasure at the thrift store. But through January, the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is offering $5 general admission tickets to kick off the new year.
“After the holidays, we all need some motivation to get moving, and there is not a more beautiful place to walk than along the 1-mile fitness trail at the Dallas Arboretum,” Vice President of Gardens Dave Forehand said in a statement. “This discount will also encourage more people to come out and see the winter plantings.”
The discount will only be applied to tickets purchased at the gate. Adult admission is typically $15.
January visitors can attend seasonal cooking demonstrations and tasting events at A Tasteful Place, where they will learn to make nutritious meals to achieve those New Year’s resolutions.
However, the Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden will be closed for preventative maintenance until Feb. 22.
