Most of us are familiar with the Aldredge House, but another historical home is worth a look. The 1904 Alexander Mansion on Ross is maintained by funds raised by the Dallas Woman’s Forum. The group sponsors a European Tea Dec. 12-16. Expect holiday decorations, vintage gowns and a menu that includes a white chocolate cranberry scone with Devonshire cream, tea sandwiches, pumpkin crunch torte, Aunt Dolly’s Fudge pie and more. Lavender Grey and Caramel Almond Bliss teas are served. After the tea, shop for artisan gifts. On the scene: neighbors dressed in holiday finery and reunions of women asking for their picture to be taken on the hand-carved stairwell. The noon seating is $55. Reservations are required.
