Dairy Queen’s grand opening

Dairy Queen

Update: Dairy Queen manager Ayon Dey says he now plans to open the store at tomorrow/Wednesday after inspectors were delayed in arriving. He apologizes (as do we here at Advocate), since we know you’re anxious to get your Dilly Bar on.

In surely the most breathlessly anticipated opening of a chain burger and ice cream joint, Dairy Queen is hosting the grand opening of their new store at Skillman-Abrams.

The new Dairy Queen replaces a new-ish Chicken Express at 6445 Eastridge next to Home Depot, but furnishings inside have been replaced and the brick façade revamped.

Let’s just hope nobody tinkered with the Butterfinger Blizzard recipe.
