Police chase ends in Old East Dallas crash

A police chase ended in Old East Dallas after the suspects of a carjacking crashed into a fence near Fairview and Winslow Avenues.

Luke Frederick and an accomplice reportedly robbed a man and woman at an apartment complex Wednesday in Mesquite, according to the Dallas Morning News. They stole their vehicle and fled the 2800 block of Franklin Drive.

Police saw the stolen vehicle heading west on Interstate 30 and attempted a traffic stop, the Morning News reported. Police chased the suspect to Old East Dallas, where the suspects chased into a fence near Fairview and Winslow Avenues.

Frederick was caught nearby and booked into the Mesquite jail. but police haven’t located the other suspect, who was not identified.
