Need a date night idea? Want to keep the kids busy? Here are five things to do this weekend that cover all your bases.

Calories don’t count at Foodiepalooza, a fundraiser for the East Dallas Boys & Girls Club. Head to White Rock Lake’s Filter Building at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, for the event featuring local vendors, dancing and more.

“Liberation: Art from Venezuela” is a mixed-media exhibition featuring works from several Venezuelan artists whose art captures the current conditions where freedom is scarce in their home country. Stop by the Bath House Cultural Center to see the exhibit, which closes Saturday, Sept. 29.

In honor of its one-year anniversary, GAPCo is serving $1 pizza slices Friday, Sept. 28. Stop by the Peavy location from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. or 9 p.m.-1 a.m.
