White Rock Partnership (WRP) encourages neighbors to join them in honoring the members of the military, police and fire-rescue that keep us safe through a number of events and displays this year.
Partnering with Safer Dallas, the partnership has a number of events and initiatives through the spring and summer. To honor those who serve, neighbors can display red and blue ribbons, bows, signs, banners and flags.
May 28 is Memorial Day, and a celebration will take place at Flag Pole Hill that will include a police helicopter, robot, fire truck and ambulance for the kids to explore. Afterwards, the Dallas Symphony concert will appear before the fireworks display. They will be out in full force at the Fourth of July neighborhood parades as well.
The organization also sponsors downtown lights several times throughout the year to show support for police, fire-rescue and military. Turn towards Downtown on National Police Day on May 15, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Dallas Police Remembrance on July 7 and Veterans Day to see some of the ways the White Rock Partnership impacts the community.
The WRP is a group of professionals, civic leaders, organizations and neighborhoods to improve the quality of life, recreation, beauty and safety of East Dallas.
