#FBF: How an East Dallasite popularized cake balls in our city

During the winter, East Dallas loves to sink their sweet tooth into treats of all shapes and sizes.

Lochwood neighbor Robin Ankeny introduced cake balls, the spherical delicacy we all know so well, to Dallas a decade ago with her venture The Cake Ball Company.

Quitting her job and starting a cake company took moxie and risk, but when the little snacks caught on at Neiman Marcus, her business took off.
