In what has become an annual tradition, the Dallas City council dressed up in Christmas sweaters to celebrate the season.
Omar Narvaez’s Star Wars and Adam Medrano’s Dallas Mavericks versions are both topical and trendy while Mark Clayton and Philip Kingston’s winter wear leans a bit on the campy side. Clayton dons what appears to be a homemade cardigan with embroidered ribbons and candy canes, while Kingston rocks a cartoon Santa sweatshirt with the neck portion of a floral print turtle neck sewed onto it. “I can’t explain how ugly and uncomfortable it is,” Kingston says.
It wasn’t just a photo op, as the council was committed enough to go about their duties at City Hall in their festive frocks.
