Dallasite Brent Rodgers opened Roots Juices in Oak Lawn a couple years ago, and he expanded in Atlanta and Arkansas last year. This year he’s opening a location in Lakewood and another in Fort Worth this summer.
He says he signed a lease for the space next door to the T-Shop in November and construction on the kitchen is already finished. The finishing touches should be complete any day now.
This location is significantly bigger than the Oak Lawn location, so aside from cold pressed juices Roots will also serve coffee, tea and “coffee-inspired drinks” such as lattes.
Rodgers says Roots’ cold pressed juices tend to be more veggie-based than fruit-based, and most people drink them as an after-lunch pick-me-up.
