Tomorrow, Nov. 25, is the last day to enjoy Autumn at the Arboretum. Every year the Dallas Arboretum brims over with 75,000 pumpkins, gourds and squash, plus 150,000 fall blooms, including chrysanthemums and impatiens. Dallas Arboretum is located at 8525 Garland Road. Go to dallasarboretum.org for more. Entrance is $10-$15.

If you’re looking for a perfect Christmas card opportunity, the Greyhound Adoption League of Texas (GALT) is hosting Santa at the pop-up store GreytStore Charity Holiday Shoppe, located at 5803 Greenville Avenue between Southwestern and Lovers. On Nov. 21, 22, 27, 28, 29 and Dec. 5 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m, neighbor can take family portraits with Santa or bring their pup for a shot with professional photographer John Hudson. Appointments for portraits can be made online and walk-ins are accommodated.

Or, Santa Claus will be at the flagship Half Price Books on Northwest Highway starting this weekend. (The same Santa we wrote about in the December magazine last year.) In keeping with Christmastime traditions, Jolly Ol’ Saint Nick will be making appearances from Nov. 27 through Dec. 20. Go to the website for dates and times. Bring the whole family or the pup for a snapshot with Santa. Also, any food donations will benefit the North Texas Food Bank.

Or another option, if you want to do something a little different, the Shops at Park Lane has a holiday-themed photo opportunity. Until Dec. 30, throughout the shopping center you can find several adult, child Dog Elfie Standand pooch-friendly sized “elfie selfie” stands. Plus a photo opportunity in the community park as the “I” inside the middle of a giant candy striped “B & G” display, in support of the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau’s ‘BIG Things Happen Here’ campaign. To be entered to win $500, share your photo on social media using the hashtag #SelfieWithAnElfie or upload a photo by visiting the ‘Selfie With An Elfie’ tab on The Shops at Park Lane Facebook page, where you can also vote for your favorite. The photo with the most votes will receive a $500 gift card to The Shops at Park Lane. The contest ends Dec. 30.

Running through Dec. 30 is “Miracle on 34th Street” at Dallas Children’s Theater. Get into the season with this play by Valentine Davies, based on the classic 1947 holiday film. Dallas Children’s Theater is at 5938 Skillman. Go to dct.org or call 214.978.0110 for more. Tickets are $15-$28.
