When we were looking for suggestions for our “Zen City: Seeking Solace in an Urban Environment” story for June, several people mentioned getting a massage as their favorite form of alone time. Most of us are as picky about where we get a massage as we are about where we get our hair done — why experiment when you know who you like? If you’re still looking for that perfect fit, there’s a new massage service in town that will be ready for you to give it a test run next weekend.
Steve Hedrick, owner of the new Elements Massage in Lakewood, is “on a mission to help area consumers experience the healing benefits of massage therapy services tailored to meet their unique needs,” according to a press release. The new massage studio, located in Mockingbird Commons at 6333 E Mockingbird Lane (in the shopping center at Mockingbird and Abrams with the Tom Thumb) will open its doors on Aug. 16.
Elements is a franchise that focuses on customizing the experience to each client.
“What sets us apart is our dedication to listening to clients’ needs in order to pair them with the right massage therapist,” Hedrick explains. “We identify key details such as type of massage desired, specific pressure needs and individual issues before matching clients and therapists.”
The new Lakewood studio will be open seven days a week. Aside from walk-ins, Elements offers a membership program, which allows clients to receive regular, discounted massage therapy services throughout each month without having to commit to a long-term contract. If you’d like to book appointments at the new studio before Aug. 16, you will receive the pre-opening rate of $39. For more information, call 214.826.5100 or visit elementsmassage.com/lakewood.
