Drive by: Pei Wei in Casa Linda takes shape

Pei Wei

If you haven’t been by in a while, the Pei Wei Asian Diner in Casa Linda Plaza is starting to look like an actual building. Plus, the sign is up in front (which is not included in the picture because there was an unavoidable dumpster right beside it — not exactly aesthetically pleasing.)

At this rate, Pei Wei could very well meet its hoped-for goal of opening by the end of the year. Last we talked with Michael Hale with AmREIT, he said the style of the building will be a cross between the “typical” Pei Wei Asian Diner design and what will fit in with the rest of the shopping center.

Begin the comments of why couldn’t Casa Linda get someone other than a chain in that spot all the while ignoring all the Mom and Pops that have come into Casa Linda Plaza since AmREIT took over.

I’m excited for another spot I can eat at with my family.
