Innovative show featuring neighborhood artists starts Saturday

The Art Hotel Collective near downtown (map) this weekend presents Conversations, an exhibit featuring Lakewood artists Michelle Stroescu, Rita Barnard, Sherry Houpt  and Lake Highlands student artist Elizabeth Housewright, featured in a recent Lake Highlands Advocate for her prize-winning piece, “Human”.

For the exhibit, artists paired with students to create a “visual dialogue,” organizers say. That means the professional artists created a piece in response to a student piece. Should be fascinating.

The opening reception is 7-9 p.m. Saturday at 1112 S. Akard.  Regular gallery hours are Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m.
