New restaurant from Lovers Pizza owners coming to Garland Road

Benny’s Classic Grill, a new restaurant from the owners of Lover’s Pizza and Pasta, is expected to open in about a month in the former Arby’s on Garland Road.

Owner Benin Zeqiri, who is from a town in Slovenia on the Italian border, says a trip home inspired the new concept.

He noticed that panini and grilled pizzas with gourmet toppings are popular in his hometown and in Venice.

Benny’s menu will include burgers, panini and grilled pizzas, all under $10.

Hasn’t been open long but the kids and I are regulars already. They greet us by name and the other day they comped our whole meal when we walked in ten minutes till closing! Fast food pricing but healthier choices and of course not supporting the big chains! I love the smoked salmon, artichoke and eggplant panini. I get green bean fries instead of french fries.

I was wondering what was going in at the old Arby’s when I noticed some work being done on the inside. Looks like a nice addition. Really liking all the local food options we’re getting in the Casa Linda area (Goodfriend, Good2Go, Alligator Cafe). Glad to see this space being used and not just sit vacant. Can’t wait to try this new place.
