What’s happening for New Year’s Eve

The Granada Theater’s New Year’s Eve party is called “Let’s Spend the Night Together.” Jonathan Tyler and Northern Lights, Ishi and Kirby Brown perform. General admission tickets cost $16. A VIP package that includes a seat in the balcony, complimentary champagne and a goody bag, costs $70 per person.

If you missed neighborhood rock stars the Polyphonic Spree’s Christmas show at Lakewood Theater, here is another opportunity to see them. Their New Year’s Eve show at House of Blues also features Centro-Matic and Deathray Davies. Tickets cost $25-$40.

The monthly dance party Smoke is throwing a New Year’s Eve party at Sons of Hermann Hall. It’s a little outside our neighborhood, but it’s just a $15 cab ride away and only $5 to get in.

The Deep Ellum comedy club Ad-Libs offers an $80 New Year’s Eve package. It includes one tickets to the show, dinner and dessert, plus beer, wine, soft drinks and a champagne split. Also, party favors and a pass for two Ad-Libs shows next year.

This is also the last week to catch Holiday at the Arboretum.
