Doctors Hospital continues 50-year anniversary celebration with gifts to the community

Earlier this year, Doctors Hospital at White Rock Lake gave 50 rain jackets to For the Love of the Lake. They donated 50 blankets to First Response EMS. White Rock YMCA got 50 sports balls, and Jonathan’s Place got 50 gift cards.

It’s all part of the hospital’s 50th anniversary, and it’s not over yet.

Last month, the hospital’s employees raised more than $5,000 to give 50 families Thanksgiving dinners plus other groceries. So far this month, they have donated 50 Christmas gifts to teenagers at Sharing Life Community Outreach. The hospital also donated 50 video cameras to that charity’s holiday sale.

Plus, they donated 35 turkeys to the White Rock Center of Hope. The hospital is planning more fundraising and giving for next year.
