As mentioned in a roundup of Lower Greenville news a few weeks ago, restauranteur Naina Srirathakul is opening two new restaurants on Lower Greenville.
One of them is already open, home-cooking style restaurant JO24 opened in place of the Jack’s Southern Comfort at 1905 Greenville. The other, Royal Cuisine, is opening next door in a week or two, Srirathakul says. She recently signed for more parking space in the back for both JO24 and Royal Cuisine.
There’s still a bit of work to do on the interior, but for the most part everything is finished. Srirathakul is leaving the brick wall in the restaurant as is, and probably a lot of the rest of the building as well.
“It’s the good food that’s important,” she says.
The original Royal Cuisine at 8131 Forest, which the new restaurant will be modeled after, serves home-style Thai food with plenty of meat, veggie and noodle options. Prices range from about $5-8.
