Lakewood children’s author on library tour next week

Lakewood author and illustrator Dan Gremminger is touring the city’s libraries with his self-published children’s book, Deep River Dark, which is based on his childhood in Weatherford. Gremminger started working on the book about 10 years ago, inspired by summers along the Brazos River.

Party in the Whole Foods parking lot July 4

Whole Foods in Lakewood is hosting a party in the parking lot from 6-10 p.m. Saturday.  You can tailgate or bring blankets and chairs to watch the Lakewood Country Club fireworks show. Plus, everything in their food court costs $3 or less.
