Mount Auburn’s new principal is a literacy specialist

Mount Auburn Elementary on East Grand is the third elementary school in the Woodrow Wilson High School feeder pattern to lose its principal this summer.

Susan Hernandez, who had previously been Dallas ISD’s executive director of language and literacy, will be the school’s new principal.

Michele Hill, Mount Auburn’s former principal, moved from Stonewall Jackson to Mount Auburn two years ago. Hill went through DISD’s Principal Fellows program and was principal for two years at Stonewall Jackson before her two years at Mount Auburn. She is now an assistant principal at Sydney Expressive Arts Vanguard in West Dallas.
