One shot fired during Denny’s robbery on Monday night

No one was injured but a few diners and employees were undoubtedly startled when a shot was fired during a robbery in the Denny’s in the 4400 block of N. Central Expressway on Monday night.

Two black men entered the business just before 11 p.m., witnesses report. One carried a handgun and demanded an employee open the cash register. According to police, as soon as the employee complied, the other suspect took the money before both men fled on foot. But not before firing one shot into the air.

The suspects remain at large.
