• Goodfriend Beer Garden & Burger House has new menu items, including Fez Mezze (hummus with escalavida, goat cheese and pita chips) and the Bat Out of Hell (sriracha-glazed meatloaf and smashed potatoes on challah).
• Spring Tea at the Dallas Arboretum begins March 4 and runs through April 5. It will be served Monday through Friday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Cost is $47, which includes admission, parking, taxes and gratuity. The Champagne tea is $57. Reservations are required.
• Wine of the week: Cusumano Nero d’Avola 2011 ($10) is stunning in its combination of value and quality. Look for a dark, plummy and almost earthy character. Available at Jimmy’s.
