This weekend: Volleyball, market, arts fair, library fest

The Woodrow Wilson High School volleyball team opens its season at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7 at Spruce High School. The team was last year’s district champion.

The White Rock Local Market is from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday.

The Lakewood Summer Arts Faire is from 10 am.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Lakewood United Methodist Church. The fair features 37 artists, a kids workshop, music and dance.

The 12th-annual Lakewood Library Fest, from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Saturday, includes live music, activities for children, a book sale and raffle prizes including a Texas-themed afghan created by the Lakewood Knit Wits. Food from Whole Foods Market Lakewood will be available for purchase.
