Chick-fil-A ‘lucky 100′ camp out for free food

Timbercreek tent people 240x179 Chick fil A lucky 100 camp out for free food

Chick-fil-A "First 100 Event" at Timbercreek, Northwest Highway and Skillman.

On Monday here on the blog, we discussed the rules and regulations behind having a chance to win a year’s worth of free combo meals at the new Chick-fil-A in Timbercreek, Northwest Highway and Skillman, which is opening Thursday at 6 a.m.

I worked through all of the potentially winning scenarios, taking quite a few words to do so, and a reader pointed out that I could have boiled it down to this: Show up at 5:45 a.m. Wednesday and see what happens at 6 a.m., when Chick-fil-A determines the winners.

So what happened at 6 a.m. Wednesday? About 140 people were there, so a drawing was held to select the lucky 100, plus 10 alternates, and about 30 people were sent packing.

And this picture, sent to me by the same helpful reader who questioned my brevity, shows what the lucky 100 (plus 10) will be doing Wednesday night during the relatively icy temperatures.
